Pastor, Dr. David Denson Jr. - was born in Fort Worth Texas and raised in Merced, California. If you hear him describe himself he would say, "I'm just a Country Boy from Texas!" After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army and served for eight years. During this time he accepted the call to ministry at the age of 19.

 

In 1993 David Denson became the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Victorville, CA. Following the leadership of the Lord he grew this church from 30 members to over 300. He served faithfully, and subsequently the Holy Spirit led him to establish the Burning Bush Church on October 29, 1995. Dr. Denson received an Honorary Doctorate from Tuskegee Pentecostal School of Divinity, in 2010 he received a Masters of Divinity from Exodus School of the Bible and in 2014 he received a Doctrine of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University.

 

The Burning Bush has come a long way by faith in19 years under this great leadership, God has enlarged our territory to a beautiful holy edifice of 32,000 square ft. Dr. Denson and the Burning Bush ministry, true testimony is people who are willing to “Trust Him, where you cannot trace Him!” Pastor Denson is a mentor and a great teacher. He and his wife, Lorrie have been married for 18 years and He continues to bless their blended family of 5 children and 8 grandchildren.Pastor Denson's life is based on his favorite scripture;

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth."
